Cub Scout Pack 108 is chartered by Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne, NJ and promotes learning and fun for boys in grades K-5. 
We are dedicated to building awareness of self and community through thoughtful activities and outdoor adventures.  New members always are welcome!         

 

    

We are a non-denominational organization and you do not have to be a member of OLV to join.  The Cub Scout season runs concurrently with the Wayne School System from Sept. to June with optional activities over the summer.

Jan. Pack Meeting - Robots and Engineering 1/20 7pm @ OLV

Friday, 1/20 @7pm - OLV..The scouts will be joined by Den Chief, Aadhi Balaji and his Robotics Team and get a first hand look at the design and engineering of their robots. Scouts will also take apart a few old household or electronic devices to look at all the parts and discuss what they do. Please bring one household item to dismantle as well as safety glasses and few small tools if you have them: screwdrivers, plyers, allen wrenches, wire cutters and as a last resort - a hammer.  (A toaster, radio, VCR, lamp, door knob, anything really.)  I will have some items and tools to share.

Nov 19-20 USS New Jersey Battleship overnight.  Day trip to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall on Sat. -- Overnight about USS NJ Sat. night.  -- Camden Aquarium Sunday afternoon. 

November Pack Meeting - Nov 18th 6:30 OLV - Caricaturist - Art Explosion - Gratitude

Nov. Pack Meeting - Friday, Nov. 18th at 6:30pm at the OLV where a local caricaturist will draw each scout.   Scouts will work on art and then we'll send finished works to Color a Smile who will distribute the cheerful drawings to senior citizens, troops, or anyone in need of a smile. They'll also be stations for making little standing turkeys and kindness wreaths.  And we'll be talking about gratitude and random acts of kindness and give each scout an opportunity to come up with their own acts of kindness to be completed over the next month.

October Pack Meeting - Halloween Party Fri. Oct.21st  Our Lady of the Valley 7PM.  Dress in costume.  The AOL den will be putting together a fun evening of games and activities.

PACK MEETING Sept. 16th 6:30pm Our Lady of the Valley Church.   The Passaic County Sheriff's Dept. will be joining us along with their K-9 Squad and members of the SWAT Team. We will welcome new and prospective scouts and participate in fun activities together. Scouts will also discuss what makes a hero, some of the heroes they know, and will create their own hero. Should be lots of fun!

June Pack Meeting 7pm OLV

Pack Meeting - Friday June 10th 7pm, We will be conducting our opening ceremony and rank advancement/crossing over first.  Family and friends are welcome as always. After that the scouts will work together to try and build a really long stick 'bomb.'    Following the meeting (approx 8:15) we will gather outside of the OLV to watch The Lego Movie on a large inflatable screen.  Bring lawn chairs.  Popcorn will be served and we may have a permit for a campfire that the scouts from Troop 108 will tend.  Scouts are encouraged to invite a friend to the meeting and/or the movie.
