Welcome to Pack 108!

Cub Scout Pack 108 is chartered by Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne, NJ.  Pack 108 promotes learning and fun for boys in grades K-5 and is dedicated to building scout awareness of self and community.  New members always are welcome.  We are a non-denominational organization therefore you do not have to be a member of OLV to join.  The Cub Scout season runs concurrently with the Wayne School System from September to June.  Please feel free to look around our site and for further information please use the "Contact Us" link in the Menu on the left side of this homepage (please follow the instructions on that screen).  Come join the fun and become a part of the Pack 108 family!

Scouting for Food - May 27 and June 3

Pack 108's annual Scouting For Food service project is now scheduled over two days - May 27 and June 3.
1 - Stop & Shop: Saturday, May 27, 2017 (Memorial Day weekend) from 10:00 to 2:00
2 - Corrado's Market: Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10:00 to 4:00
There are still spots that need to be filled at all locations and time slots. We are expecting full participation from our dens. Please work around baseball, soccer, and other activity schedules to find a time that works for your family. MS Walk - April 30, 2017 - West Orange

April Pack Meeting - 'Bash the Trash'

Our April Pack meeting is Friday, April 7, starting at 7pm.  We are excited to have "Bash the Trash",  a program that entertains and educates scouts with a mix of science, environment, music and humor. It highlights crazy instruments made from recycled and reused stuff, amazing science demos, and fun music, inspiring boy scouts to explore the connections between art and science.  Bring the whole family for this event. 

March Pack Meeting - Pinewood Derby

It's race time!! The Pinewood Derby will be the feature event of our March pack meeting on Friday, March 17.  The hall will be open starting at 6:15 pm for all scouts to check in their cars.  All scouts should have their cars checked in by 6:50 pm.  The pack meeting will start promptly at 7:00 pm with our opening ceremony led by the Bears.  The races will start at 7:10 pm.  Once you check in your car, it can not be touched again.  Cars must weigh no more than 5 ounces, be no higher than 2.75 inches, and conform to all other standard rules for Pinewood Derby cars, which will be verified at check in.  No liquid lubricants on the wheels will be permitted.  Cars will be disqualified if they do not conform to the requirements.  Attached is the Pack roster with the assigned car numbers.  Cars must have the car number that matches the roster somewhere on the car - do not use a different number on your car.  Snacks will be served.  It will be an awesome night!

Blue and Gold Dinner - Webelos 2 Arrow of Light Ceremony

Our annual Blue and Gold dinner will be on February 26th at Portobello in Oakland from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. Our Webelo 2's will be hosting the dinner and it will be a very special event with their Arrow of Light ceremony crossing over to Boy Scouts.  As in years past our main fundraiser for this event is the tricky tray and we'll be looking for each den to provide at least 4 baskets, each basket must have a minimum value of $50. We are requesting an emphasis on baskets that are scout/family friendly, but nothing wrong with a few for the adults. The baskets will be collected by the Webelos 2. Include your name and den, baskets should be covered in wrap to help in the transport. The reservation form can be found in the 'forms' section. All reservations will need to in by 2/12 with payments. Leaders and Scouts are free and for any family members it will be $35 for adults and $18 for children under 14. Reservation forms can either be mailed to Jennifer Sadowski (23 Fenner Place, Wayne, NJ 07470) or given to your den leader who will pass to Jennifer by the 12th.
