Welcome to Pack 108!

Cub Scout Pack 108 is chartered by Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne, NJ.  Pack 108 promotes learning and fun for boys in grades K-5 and is dedicated to building scout awareness of self and community.  New members always are welcome.  We are a non-denominational organization therefore you do not have to be a member of OLV to join.  The Cub Scout season runs concurrently with the Wayne School System from September to June.  Please feel free to look around our site and for further information please use the "Contact Us" link in the Menu on the left side of this homepage (please follow the instructions on that screen).  Come join the fun and become a part of the Pack 108 family!

June Pack Meeting/Recruitment Event; 6:30pm

Posted on Jun 15 2017 - 11:36pm

Our June pack meeting and annual recruiting event will start at 6:30 pm on the lawn behind the OLV parish center.  Please share information on social media and tell everyone you know with boys entering Kindergarten through 5th grades next year that may be interested in joining the pack.  All scouts are welcome to join in the fun and launch their own soda bottle rockets starting at 6:30. If you don’t make a rocket on 6/14, you can make one this night. The pack meeting ceremony will start at 7:15 and feature our awards ceremony and advancement bridging ceremony.  Please save and bring plenty of 2-liter bottles to the meeting for decorating and launching.

Flag Retirement Ceremony/Rocket Build - June 14: 6:30pm

Posted on Jun 4 2017 - 3:50pm

At this event at OLV, the Boy Scouts will have their formal flag retirement event starting at 7pm.  A fire to properly retire the American flags will be done as well during the ceremony.  The Boy Scouts have graciously invited our Pack to attend. I think this will be a great opportunity for the scouts to see the Boy Scouts’ court of honor and this ceremony.  Prior to the ceremony, at 6:30pm, as a Pack, we can build our bottle rockets, so we have some ready for the final official Pack Meeting on June 16.  If attending, please bring a few two-liter bottles for your own rocket as well as additional ones if possible to have for new recruits.

Wayne Day - June 11: 11am-5pm

Posted on Jun 4 2017 - 3:49pm

Pack 108 will be participating in Wayne Day this year!  This will be a great recruiting opportunity for our Pack.  Along with the Council booth, we will have a prize wheel, giveaways and information on our Pack.  On that day, we really need scouts/parents to volunteer some time at the booth to help provide information and work our prize wheel.  If you are able to volunteer to assist at the booth, please sign up for a time slot here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1usa3EkGlkiAVsYigdYdNWI50Y5Tt-zJ2G-MDQSKP5Io/edit?usp=sharing  . Even if you can’t sign up for a slot, but will be there that day, please make sure to stop by the booth and help represent Pack 108. Also make sure to send any potential recruits our way.
